This class will "reinforce ideas that feature the four areas of informed inquiry in social studies: 1. Developing questions; 2. Applying concepts and tools; 3. Evaluating sources and using evidence; and 4. Communicating conclusions ..."{in order to take informed action.}"
Students will practice the skill of Note-taking by completing RATN's. (Read and take Notes) in a digital notebook (slides/docs).
By the end of 8th grade, students are prepared for high school and beyond because they have learned and practiced important study skills, critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
Students’ grades are calculated using a point system. At the end of each trimester, a student’s grade is determined by dividing that student’s earned points by the total points possible for that trimester. Grades are updated at least every 2 weeks, and students are encouraged to monitor their own grades via PowerSchool. All assignments should reflect the student’s best effort and be of the highest quality.
